A patent agent's patentability opinion look at the legal requirements for patenting your invention including novelty and obviousness legal tests. The opinion provides an assessment of how a patent examiner will apply the law to make an assessment of if they will grant a patent or not. This is why a patentability opinion is expensive, because you are paying for a legal opinion that engages the patent agent's legal liability and insurance obligations. Our searches are focused to provide you insights that help you at the initial stages of research, and prototyping, before you engage the patent process.
